About 15 years ago, Debra began to integrate somatic practices and yoga into her offerings with clients and students. She is a Certified Curvy Yoga teacher, with additional training in Accessible Yoga and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, as well as Trauma-Informed Mindfulness.
Debra Integrates somatic and yoga practices into her work as a CEDRD in order to heal the fractures created by our culture’s oppressive Diet Culture and Body Hierarchy, which is rooted in racism, patriarchy, ableism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia and fat phobia. She is committed to making her Body Respect Yoga Classes and Workshops brave spaces free of body and food shaming where all foods and bodies are seen as neutral. All foods fit. All bodies are worthy.
