Larry is a management consultant based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he maintains a limited clientele of community-based nonprofit and public sector organizations. He is also a Professor of Nonprofit Management and Community Leadership Practice at Salem College in Winston-Salem, where he has taught for the past 14 years.
He has professional experience in both the public and private sectors, through involvement in leadership development and training, capacity building, and community organizing. His career has also included work in the fields of economic revitalization, urban planning, and community development. Locally, he has assisted nonprofits and served on community boards in Winston-Salem and surrounding areas since 1995, and in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States for over 40 years.
Larry holds an MBA from Wake Forest University and an Urban Planning degree from the University of the District of Columbia. Larry brings a commitment to social justice and anti-racism, and expertise in capacity-building, and the lived experience of a Black man in America to 18 Springs Community Healing Center, where it is a privilege to be a part of the team.
