I’ve always loved movement: Dancing, swimming, climbing, and just plan wiggling around. While I was studying sociology in California I took a yoga class thinking it was going to be another way to move my body and it was SO much more.
Sociology taught me how to see the world through the lens of social justice, the ability to question social constructs and systems of oppression, but not how to hold those very uncomfortable truths in my body. Yoga continues to help me build a capacity to be with discomfort, to unpack limiting beliefs, and to remember my connection to something bigger than myself.
I've dedicated myself to creating a mutual learning environment where I share my journey of becoming a 500 E-RYT, and the tools I’ve garnered in trauma informed and accessibility trainings. My practice has also taught me to prioritize fun and play so don’t be surprised if we get a little weird or laugh our way through class.
