Healing Parts and Ancestors with Soul Collage

Come play and heal together using SoulCollage®. SoulCollage® is an expressive arts practice using collage that allows for creativity, self-discovery, and healing.

During our time together, we will focus on:

1. working with our parts- helpful parts, and protective and wounded inner parts
2. ancestors- healing and honoring them

What does “parts” mean? All of us are made of “parts,” or essentially pieces of our personality. They have been created from our experiences, whether they were difficult or happy. Working with your parts will not only help you understand more about yourself, but allow you to have an inner dialogue with pieces of yourself that may be unconscious, and habitual, getting in the way of your work towards goals and aspirations. Working with our ancestors allows us work with inner child parts that may need healing (either from family patterns and behaviors, or society at large).

What to bring:

• Any pictures of you, or yourself, or reminders of things you enjoyed growing up, or places that you experienced (for example a picture of your school, or mascot, or a beach that reminds you of a place you liked to go during the summer, etc.)
• Any pictures of family members, or reminders of family members’ lineages (for example maps of where they come from, pictures of places you grew up, etc.)
• Magazines (optional)
