A wise sage once said, “If you want to know how the mind works, sit down and observe it.”
This training is based on a program called KORU. It is a tightly structured series developed by professors and psychiatrists at Duke University. It was developed for students who “don’t have time to meditate” so it is therefore applicable for everyone, since we all feel we do not have time.
It is a skill-based and practical nuts-and-bolts program that focuses on a series of meditation instructions that are simple, accessible and effective. And, of course, it has an app. The unique element of this app is that after each guided meditation students write reflections which are linked to the teacher’s email. The teacher can then respond to participants’ experience and give unique feedback and suggestions. This impacts deeply on students’ motivation and progress. The KORU program consists of four classes, while this program adds two more to deepen and integrate the healing and transformative elements of mindfulness-based meditation.
