About The Event

How Do We See the World As Sacred Again?

Join author and former end-of-life chaplain, Heidi Gessner, for a special reading from her new memoir, “Pockets of Grace: Lessons from Darkness, Lessons from Light.” Heidi shares how even during life’s toughest moments, when it feels like the world has turned against you, there are unseen forces carrying and shaping you. We live in a deeply personal universe that wants to support and engage with you, regardless of the color of your skin or political or economic status. And once you realize this, you listen to hear what it has to tell you. You tune into that channel and start noticing and paying attention, and a whole new world opens up. A sacred world. Join us to learn how your grief has the capacity to open you up enough to accept a different perspective and more readily surrender to the flow of life.
