TIME TO BREATHE A Weekly Class to Steady and Inspire your Nervous System with Sydney Hughes-McGee, LMBT1243, RYT500 Thursday Mornings from 9:00-10:00 am, beginning December 11th, 2025 18 Springs Community Healing Center Register by emailing or texting Sydney at bodyandearth18@gmail.com or 336 775 7313 or simply drop-in! Our breath is made of earth and sky, and nothing is more natural for us as humans than to simply breathe with life. Yet, so much gets in the way of this birthright. In times of continual crisis, our nervous systems can stay triggered, and become overwhelmed and exhausted. It can be helpful to set aside time where we can get back to basics, attune to our bodies’ intuitive rhythms, and replenish our resources. This weekly class is designed to provide a protected space for you to rediscover and nurture your breath. For an hour, you will have nothing else to do but BREATHE. Classes will include: Slowing down and deepening sensory awareness Gentle and supported yoga movements that make more room to breathe Anatomy of breathing + guided pranayama ratio practices Sydney Hughes-McGee, RYT500, NCLMBT1243, is a yoga teacher, somatic educator and bodyworker. She has been teaching embodiment practices for over 35 years. Her goal is to help people feel at home in their bodies, to support them in the healing of injury and trauma, and to aid those seeking a more relational, authentic, and nature-connected way of being. She is an advocate for social justice and health equity and is the founder of 18 Springs Community Healing Center.
